Struggling with running while working full-time? Then this one is for you. Whether you are working full time or managing a full time schedule of work and kids and business, putting the effort in to a running plan, especially something ambitious can be tough.
Full-time work or business or parenting is usually full-time enough, without adding too much more onto your plate. But one thing we all know is that when you breathe into running, you can breathe more oxygen into everything else as well. It can seem like it will take up too much space, but somehow it just makes more. But that doesn’t mean that it’s not without its challenges especially with work deadlines or kids getting sick or just the general chaos of life.
So, running while working full-time might not be easy but it is rewarding and can tend to make your more productive and less stressed – but you do need to be a whole lot more flexible and be able to roll with the punches a bit.
In this episode of the podcast, I’m chatting with Ness. She’s not been doing a whole heap of running since having a second baby and starting her business, but now she’s getting back into a training cycle.
We recorded this in November, 2022 and we talk a bit about how she’s structuring her training, how she’s coping with the demands of parenting and business and life as well as running schedules. And importantly how she approaches things when things don’t go according to plan.
